Merry Monday #98 - Country Charm

Hey everyone, it's Monday and that means time for another fun challenge at Merry Monday!  This week's theme is to make a Christmas card with Country Charm by adding stitching and buttons.  This weeks graphic is so darn cute.

I absolutely love all the beautiful stitching I see on so many cards these days, but sadly I have no idea how to use a sewing machine. Although I do have the best memories of my Grandma teaching me how to embroider by hand when I was little and I'm actually pretty good at that!  I used my paper piercer to make some freehand holes in my cardstock and did some stitching by hand.  I always think of those times when I embroider... Thanks Grandma!

I love this cute photo:

A Birthday Wishy (Colour Me...Playful CMCC #9)

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week we have four great colors to work with: Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Smoky Slate and Basic Black.  I really enjoyed this combination, basically because I'm a huge fan of any kind of teal/aqua/turquoise paired with red (my favorite color).

The sentiment on this card I stamped myself using an alphabet set.  It doesn't make much sense until you read the rest on the inside of the card.   This card was for one of my daughter's best buddie's 5th birthday.

I used this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!  I went back to the challenge site and saw that my card is basically a CASE of one of the DT cards.  Shoooot!  I will chalk it up to great minds thinking alike! :)

Merry Monday #97 - Use Aqua, Silver and White

Hey everyone, it's Monday and that means time for another fun challenge at Merry Monday!  This week's theme is to make a Christmas card using the colors Aqua, Silver and White.  There are so many gorgeous possibilities with this color combination!

I used my Cameo to cut the Santa and Sleigh out of white cardstock, then I sprayed him with a spray adhesive and covered him in Rock Candy Distress Glitter, that stuff is sooo pretty!  I used ink to create an ombre look on the patterned paper, then added the score lines.  I just love the way silver embossing powder looks, especially on vellum and it shows a little better below. :)

Colour Me...! Subtle - CMCC #8

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week we have some great colors to work with:  Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding + Neutral.  I really love the concept behind this challenge, with a different number of colors in each combo each week, so fun!

I made my background by embossing white on white and then sponging over the top with the blue and green ink.  And the rest of the sentiment inside...

Here's this week's inspiration photo:
