Card In a Box - Colour Me...Creative! CMCC #18

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week is the rare 5th week of the month which means Anything Goes! - I decided to go with 5 colors to keep with the trend: Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate and Brilliant Blue (retired).

In the past few weeks two of my Colour Me teamies have made their own gorgeous versions of the card-in-a-box I've been seeing around lately (check them out by Tara and Brenda).  Their awesome creations inspired me to try my hand at it.  I made this card for my co-workers for National Lab Week, this is the perfect stamp set for lab nerds like us!  The hardest part of this card was trying to get a pic that did it justice.

The card and that mad scientist were are hit at the office :)

Check out the great inspiration from the other team members and link up your creations, too.  I can't wait to see your goodies in the gallery --  You all have really been showing us some gorgeous cards, keep it up!

Colour Me...Playful! CMCC #17 - A Birthday Card

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week Tara and Hayley have another set of 4 colors to work with:  Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise.  Who likes the blues? The colors that is...  I do, I do!

I made my striped panel with strips of cardstock, then went to work on it with lots of dies.  The "happy" is layered with white glitter cardstock on top.  A wink o' sparkle on the stars finished it off.  Hope you like!

With Sympathy

Hey crafty friends!  Hope you're having an awesome weekend, I got some crafty time in and I'm here with a card to share:

I just got this stamp after eyeing it forever.  It was the perfect excuse to practice some more coloring, and I learned something new.  I love watercoloring over white embossing, but the emboss resist technique doesn't really work with copic coloring, that ink just sticks right to your white surface so it's a bit messier than I would like.  Lesson learned!

I used the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! and snagged a little inspiration over at CASE Study.

Queen Bee

Hey friends!  Today I have fun news, I scored a Guest Designer spot over at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!  If you haven't had the pleasure you should check out their challenge, the DT and the players have a great sense of humor and I'm always guaranteed a giggle over there.  The theme this time around is "Q is for Queen" - interpret any way you like!  Here's how I went:

I think I'll give this card to my MIL... Just kidding! (Muahahahahah.) It's certainly not for everyone, but for your one friend... you know which one... the one who can handle it and have a good laugh it could be perfect!

So go, check it out and play along!
