A Birthday Wishy (Colour Me...Playful CMCC #9)

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week we have four great colors to work with: Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Smoky Slate and Basic Black.  I really enjoyed this combination, basically because I'm a huge fan of any kind of teal/aqua/turquoise paired with red (my favorite color).

The sentiment on this card I stamped myself using an alphabet set.  It doesn't make much sense until you read the rest on the inside of the card.   This card was for one of my daughter's best buddie's 5th birthday.

Here's this week's inspiration photo:

Merry Monday #97 - Use Aqua, Silver and White

Hey everyone, it's Monday and that means time for another fun challenge at Merry Monday!  This week's theme is to make a Christmas card using the colors Aqua, Silver and White.  There are so many gorgeous possibilities with this color combination!

I used my Cameo to cut the Santa and Sleigh out of white cardstock, then I sprayed him with a spray adhesive and covered him in Rock Candy Distress Glitter, that stuff is sooo pretty!  I used ink to create an ombre look on the patterned paper, then added the score lines.  I just love the way silver embossing powder looks, especially on vellum and it shows a little better below. :)

Colour Me...! Subtle - CMCC #8

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  This week we have some great colors to work with:  Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding + Neutral.  I really love the concept behind this challenge, with a different number of colors in each combo each week, so fun!

I made my background by embossing white on white and then sponging over the top with the blue and green ink.  And the rest of the sentiment inside...

For My Valentine

Hey everyone!  I want to share the Valentine card I made for my husband.  I have to wait until after the big day so it doesn't ruin the surprise.  My card was inspired by this beautiful card by Melissa Cochran at CrazyPaperFreak.  Her style is AWESOME and if you haven't checked it out, you should!  Here's my card:

I also wanted to share the super sweet card he made for me.  He's not afraid to raid my supplies and make me a card because he says it's really hard to buy a cardmaker a great card.  He made a scratch-off card, and it was awesome, all the little red hearts scratched off lottery ticket style to reveal some super sweet messages.  Love it!

You're So Tweet

Hey friends!  I have a card to share before we put some finishing touches on a family "painting" we are creating on the wall behind the fridge.  Here goes:

How sweet are those little birdies?

Some challenges sparked my creativity today.  I've been missing a bit o' mojo...I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

 I

...the color scheme from The Card Concept, so glad I finally get to join in over there.  I'm usually a clean and layered or clean and simple girl, and this is CAS.

...the inspiration photo over at Fusion: (get it, "tweet" like the sweets/tweets in the photo, lol)

...and the code word at Addicted to CAS:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Keep it crafty :)

Update:  This card was selected for the WIN at Fusion, the WIN at Addicted to CAS. and was a Favorite at CAS(E) this Sketch!  and was one of the winners at the Card Concept. All of which were a first for me!!  Woot woot!  I'm absolutely blown away, I've never had a card be selected at all the challenges it was entered in.  This is so cool, and I want to give a huge thanks to everyone who left so many sweet and supportive comments.  My card/blog/PaperNerd friends are the BEST!

CMCC 6 - Colour Me... Monochromatic

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  Since this is the first week of the month it's a monochromatic theme and we are working with the color Wisteria Wonder.

In order to create the flowers with two shades I used Wisteria Wonder ink and stamped the lower image by stamping off first to make it lighter, the top layer is stamped in "full power".

Here's this week's inspiration photo:

Check out the great inspiration from the other team members and link up your creations, too! Since it's a new month we are welcoming Susie Wittwer as our Featured Designer for February.  I can't wait to see your goodies in the gallery!
