Color Me... Striking! - CMCC #11

Hey friends, it's Wednesday and that means it's time for another awesome challenge at Colour Me...!  Everyone really rocked it in last week's monochromatic challenge, so many wonderful entries!  Let's do it again, shall we?  It's the second week of the month and that means we have a pair of colors to work with:  Midnight Muse and Tangerine Tango.

I decided it was time to try out the inlaid die cut technique I've been seeing everywhere.  It's really fun and I love the looks you can create.

I'm loving this week's funky inspiration photo:

Repeat that...

Hey, just had to do a separate post for my Paper Smooches SPARKS card.  I've never done multiple cards in one post before and apparently you can't really do that for the same link-up, oops!  So pardon my redundant card, see the post below for the original post with all three cards :)

So this card is inspired the photo below from the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge this week :)

Thanks so much for looking (AGAIN!), keep it crafty! :)

Three Green Cards

Hey friends, I have a few cards to squeeze in here so I'm going to keep it brief, I hope you enjoy!

The first is for CAS(E) this Sketch! and The Card Concept (CAS style).

UPDATE: This card was chosen as a CAS(E) this Sketch Favorite, woot woot!

My next card is inspired by the photo at the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge, and Just Add Ink (Use a sunburst).  I went out of my comfort zone with this earthy color combo, but the photo really made me want to use the dark hunter green with some kraft.  And since this is a masculine card I'm linking up at The Friday Mashup!

And last but not least, this one is inspired by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  I've been wanting to get in on some of their fun challenges because I love me some snark.  I used the sketch from Seize the Sketch and the colors from Paper Smooches again.

Merry Monday #99 - A Color Combo

Hey everyone, it's Monday and that means time for another fun challenge at Merry Monday!  This week's theme is chosen by Margaret and she wants us to make a Christmas card with the colors Chocolate Brown, Green, Gold and White/Cream.

I cut this tree of words with my Silhouette and sponged it with some Old Olive Ink.   Then I covered it with clear embossing powder, except for the top and bottom details which I embossed in gold.

I really like this week's inspiration photo:

Merry Monday #98 - Country Charm

Hey everyone, it's Monday and that means time for another fun challenge at Merry Monday!  This week's theme is to make a Christmas card with Country Charm by adding stitching and buttons.  This weeks graphic is so darn cute.

I absolutely love all the beautiful stitching I see on so many cards these days, but sadly I have no idea how to use a sewing machine. Although I do have the best memories of my Grandma teaching me how to embroider by hand when I was little and I'm actually pretty good at that!  I used my paper piercer to make some freehand holes in my cardstock and did some stitching by hand.  I always think of those times when I embroider... Thanks Grandma!

I love this cute photo:
